Senior Vice President, Global Sales, Security
Nathan Perdue is Senior Vice President of Akamai’s Security Specialist Sales team. He is responsible for leading Akamai’s highly specialized go-to-market team in security solutions, including microsegmentation, API security, and DDoS protection. He is responsible for driving security product growth globally, building and cultivating Akamai’s robust partner ecosystem, and integrating and scaling newly acquired technologies.
Perdue has held various sales, sales leadership, and executive roles throughout his more than 20-year career. He joined Akamai in 2021 as part of Akamai’s acquisition of Guardicore, where he was SVP of Sales for North America. Guardicore was founded to protect enterprises from damage caused by breaches like ransomware, while safeguarding critical assets at the heart of the network. Before joining Guardicore, Perdue led sales teams at Tegile Systems and VCE. He started his career as an enterprise account executive working at BEA systems and later worked in sales at Cast Iron Systems, Perfigo, and Cisco.
He holds a Bachelor of Arts from the University of California, Berkeley, and is based in Cambridge, Massachusetts.
