Today, we are excited to share Akamai's 2022 ESG Impact Report. This year, we evolved our approach to provide a comprehensive and holistic view of the progress made in our five foundational ESG focus areas: Sustainability, Our People, Responsible Business Practices, Data, Privacy, and Security, and the Akamai Foundation.

This updated approach highlights the fact that each area of expertise is unique, but they are all more robust when interconnected and working toward the shared Akamai mission of making life better for billions of people, billions of times a day.
ESG and sustainability milestones
Our 2022 ESG Impact Report marks an essential step in our ESG journey by bringing together our Corporate Sustainability Program; our Inclusion, Diversity, and Engagement efforts; the Akamai Foundation; and our governance programs. Some of our 2022 milestones include:
Progress toward our 2030 sustainability goals with a focus on emissions control, renewable energy investment, and global efficiency
The expansion of our Responsible Supply Chain Program to increase the alignment of our suppliers with our corporate goals and values
The launch of FlexBase, a global program that empowers employees with workplace flexibility
107 grants awarded through the Akamai Foundation that provided increased access to STEM education in underserved communities, aided disaster-relief efforts, and supported humanitarian efforts in Ukraine
