Now Live: On-Demand Learning and Hands-On Labs at Learn Akamai
I’m excited to announce our new all-inclusive Learning Hub as the single destination for all product learning resources at Akamai. This new Hub gives users the ability to choose the method of learning that suits them best, whether that’s reading through technical documentation, exploring our on-demand elearning modules and hands-on labs, or joining a community discussion. All of our training, documentation, and other educational resources can now be found in this one place: https://www.akamai.com/learn.
In addition, we have launched Learn Akamai, which provides free, on-demand learning content and hands-on labs to introduce users to Akamai’s platform and help them get comfortable with our solutions in a safe and secure environment.
Learning strategy
We know that resources such as multimedia documentation, interactive elearning modules, guided hands-on labs, and detailed step-by-step instructions will enable our users to make the most of Akamai’s solutions, decreasing their time to value — and building their product skills. So we’ve created and begun implementing a strategy that will provide high-quality, self-service product learning content for all audiences. As part of this strategy, we’re working toward creating one cohesive learning experience that encompasses all of our documentation and training. Our ultimate goal is to increase our educational support for, and level of engagement with, all audiences. We’ll continue to provide safe and secure hands-on experiences, so that our users can advance their knowledge and skills.
How does it work?
We’ve designed three levels of product training to meet users’ needs regardless of where they start their learning journey. New and updated learning paths will be published continuously:
Product Foundations presents an introduction to the product, along with case studies, key features, and recorded demonstrations.
Product Configuration gives an overview of how to set up the product, including reference architectures, product data handling, and basic troubleshooting.
Product Integrations provides detail on critical developer tools, APIs, and case studies of integrations between Akamai products as well as other common tools and technologies.
We’re also designing training that will explain why and how specific solutions, like bot management and cloud computing, have become so important to our users. We know that this will provide critical context for understanding today’s biggest challenges. All of our content will link to additional resources, such as technical documentation, how-to videos, and explanatory blogs.
