DataStream: Real-time Log Delivery for All Akamai Customers
We are pleased to announce that DataStream 2 is now available for all our customers. DataStream 2 provides customers with detailed log data from requests on the Akamai Intelligent Edge Platform within minutes. DataStream 2 gives customers unparalleled visibility into events at the Akamai edge and puts developers first by empowering them with the data needed to support critical operations.
Customers have control over the data they receive and can customize it according to their needs, selecting only the data that is most relevant to them. Additionally, customers have control over data collection using match criteria to capture data for requests as needed, such as cache misses or errors. Data is delivered on a continual basis to popular third-party cloud object storage platforms, including AWS S3, Microsoft Azure Blob Storage, Google Cloud Storage, and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure. DataStream 2 also supports a number of HTTPS destinations including Splunk, Sumo Logic, Datadog, and custom HTTPS servers.
You can add DataStream 2 via the Akamai Marketplace in three easy steps:

Choose Data Solutions and DataStream 2.0.
Add DataStream 2 to the contract for free by following the steps in the form.
DataStream 2 is the primary data delivery solution at Akamai and we strongly recommend migrating from DataStream 1. You can find more details in Migration Guidance. Please note that DataStream 1 will be decommissioned on May 31, 2022.
Akamai continuously improves DataStream 2. We’re busy working on additional features for the upcoming months, like Cloud Integrated Storage, IP ACL support, China CDN integration, and others. Please look for DataStream release notes to get the newest updates.
