Akamai and Cloudwise Enter into a Strategic Partnership to Support Chinese Companies Seeking to Expand Globally

Akamai Technologies, Inc. (NASDAQ: AKAM), a global leader in content delivery network (CDN) services, today announced a strategic partnership agreement with Cloudwise Technology, a leading Chinese solution provider for application performance management (APM). The collaboration is designed to provide joint customers end-to-end web performance and security solutions when exploring overseas opportunities.

Motivated by Chinese government policy encouraging local companies to ‘Go Global’ in recent years, many Chinese companies are expanding abroad. For Chinese companies with business operations highly dependent on the Internet, web performance is critical to their brand image, go-to-market efficiency, customer acquisition, and user satisfaction. However, their IT deployment to a global audience is often hampered by higher maintenance and operation costs to provide the best user experience. Leveraging Akamai’s globally-distributed Intelligent Platform, and Cloudwise’s business-oriented application performance management solutions, the partnership is intended to help address these challenges and enable their joint customers to enjoy an enhanced user experience, IT agility and lower Total Cost of Ownership (TCO).
